Tasty Pleasures: Favorite Food Sites and Recipes

The tip to avoid writers’ block is to read. I think that can apply to any creative endeavor, especially cooking. Recipes and new flavors are inspired by existent recipes and flavors! So, for today’s post, I’ve decided to share my latest favorite sites and recipes.

Listed in no particular order:

  • Experience Life
    • I learned about this magazine through my former gym, Life Time. The gym publishes this monthly magazine filled with tips and insights on physical health, mental health, and eating habits. It also shares delicious recipes!
    • Though I’m no longer a member at the gym, I still receive the magazine and I always look forward to reading it. I’ve found a lot of helpful tidbits that I even take pictures of and share with friends and family.
  • @mrs_macarons
    • She posts videos of herself cooking Korean dishes on Instagram. I appreciate that she shares classic and modern Korean recipes. Her videos are also so soothing to watch and listen to. Even if you’re not into food and cooking, you might enjoy her videos for the ASMR experience
  • Greek Turkey Burgers by Budget Bytes
    • These burgers were so. good. They were juicy and flavorful. The recipe made six, and I had to eat one immediately after cooking them! I skipped the bun but kept the toppings. These were also really easy to pack ahead of time for a quick grab-and-go lunch!
  • Sweet & Savory’s Basic French Macarons
    • If you’ve watched my Instagram stories lately, you know I’ve been making macarons like a crazy woman. Sweet & Savory’s recipe is a basic macaron recipe (no special flavors or food coloring). Her instructions were easy to follow, and because she also went through the trial and error process, she had a lot of helpful tips to share for perfecting the technique, particularly the tricky macaronage.
    • Though this recipe was for a plain macaron, it was easy to use as a base while experimenting with other flavors!
